As a student, I strongly believe that social media and other networking sites such as WhatsApp, Facebook, twitter are major sources of distraction for the students. 

People spend their important times on this. I have seen my own seniors being more worried about chatting with friends, updating their status, or uploading pictures, instead of becoming worried about their examinations.

These days children like to play football, cricket, basketball on their mobile phones but not physically. Also, we all know that there is an increase in the eyesight problem of the children, which is not at all is a good sign. Nowadays a three-year-old kid knows his mum's mobile password, which is surely unbelievable.

 

Also these days there is a new trend to share the marriage or any birthday or ritualistic invitation through mobile phones. In any family function or official function, people are busier with their mobile phones.

I never understand why people are always busy with their mobile phones.

But with so many disadvantages, social media also have some advantages. Like mass communication is very fast and we can get information about any topic.

And if we see a good side of Facebook then it brings the world together. And we can even make informal friends through Facebook.

Also, we can gain knowledge and even get education from social media.

The conclusion is ---

"Use social media to impact people

Not to impress people."
